Alvin, a skilled Architectural and Construction Drafting graduate from Hawkeye Institute of Technology, embarked on his professional journey at a lumber company where he honed his expertise in designing houses, kitchen layouts, and excelled in estimating. His early successes paved the way for a transition into becoming a project designer for renowned firms like Cityscape, Design, and First Design Group.
Drawing upon years of diverse experience, Alvin attained the prestigious CPBD designation, marking a significant milestone in his career. In 1978, fueled by passion and expertise, he founded Stecker Design Consultants. Recognizing the demand for specialized services, Alvin later established Urban Design Group, focusing exclusively on working with stock plans.
